Celebrity shoes – Madonna Heels

Back in October of 2008, 1980s pop icon, graced the red carpet of a premiere night with uncanny Chanel heeled shoes designed by Laurence Decade. These Madonna heels were the talk of the night and sparked some controversy days after.

The shoes were your basic black high-heeled shoes except that the heels were created to look like pistols aiming downwards. These were indeed so aptly regarded as ?killer? shoes, which cost avid buyer $2,200 a pair with a waiting list that could take forever.

Representatives of Mothers Against Murder and Agression have criticized Madonna for considering these shoes as trend-setting. Furthermore, the spokeswoman for the group, Lynn Costello, blatantly communicated to the press how horrified she was that Madonna, a mother herself, did not even think twice about how these shoes can glamorize weapons and consequentially influence the young public. This is in stark contradiction to how many young people have been victimized by gun-related crimes.
